Flowers fiesta on 14 June 2020. Magnificent and spectacular scenery offered by locals who go to work all night from Saturday to Sunday to cover the streets with sumptuous flower maps. We advise you to go there on Sunday around 8:00 in the morning. All the flower maps will be finished and you’ll be out of the crowd who arrives around 10:00.

Set in the idyllic natural landscape, is the Sassovivo Abbey, founded in the second half of the eleventh century by Benedictine monks. The cloister is magnificent.
Park before the entrance and take the small stair to the left. Free entry.

If you want to visit a vineyard during your stay, we recommend SIGNAE which produces excellent wines including the Rossobastardo. To limit your kilometers, the ideal is to plan a tasting just before (or just after) your visit to Montefalco.

Déambuler dans les ruelles de ces 3 villages médiévaux classés «plus beaux villages d’Italie» vous permet de mieux sentir l’Ombrie. Nous vous conseillons de déjeûner sur la belle place de Montefalco, de vous arrêter quelques instants dans les rues calmes de Bevagna et de flâner plus longtemps à Spello qui propose entre autre quelques beaux magasins d’artisanat. Idéal d’y terminer l’après-midi en prenant un spritz ou une glace sur une agréable terrasse.

Nous vous conseillons d’y aller le dimanche vers 8h du matin afin d’être en dehors de la foule et d’arriver quand tous les tapis de fleurs sont terminés.

Abbaye de Santa Croce à Sassovivo, fondée par des ermites bénédictins autour de l’année 1070. Perdue dans la montagne, c’est un hâvre de paix et le cloître est magnifique.
Se garer avant l’entrée et prendre le petit escalier à gauche. Entrée libre.
